Name: Edwin Nathaniel Knight (goes by Ed, Nate, or Knight, depending on the characters familiarity with him)

Appearance: Edwin is around eight foot tall when he fully extends his legs, and straightens his back, but under normal circumstances he hovers around six feet tall, preferring to remain in a more comfortable semi-crouched posture.
His body has been through some dramatic changes since its exposure to the barrier. His entire body has flattened out and elongated making him look slightly frail, while his muscles have been strengthened making him deceptively strong. His skin has hardened into a chitinous armor that is strong enough to deflect most bladed weapons in the hands of most normal humans. His legs have grown new joints and his existing joints have been modified to allow for an extended range of movement, and flexibility.
He has incredibly delicate looking fingers that seem to be incredibly long and on the verge of shattering off of his hand. They are actually incredibly durable, dexterous, and end in very sharp points that he has been known to use in combat. He is prone to wearing no clothes as he no longer has external sex organs or any other visible gender markers.
Personality: He is a very intelligent computer programmer, and feels that order and functionality are two of the most important things in creation. He is obsessed with the way things work, and making them work better or faster with limited resources, or space to work in. He is prone to quiet contemplation, instead of rash action. He is however likely to reach a conclusion, and spring into action with a zeal that borders on insanity. He is devout and trusting.

History: Born decades before the barrier came down over the city, Edwin was a normal child, if a bit bright. He soared through school, and graduated at the top of his class, a year early. He entered an advanced AI generation and replication program at Dinmor Ussol University, and quickly attracted the attention of the Chorazin Councils Military Subcommittee on the Advancement of Cybernetic Soldiers.
He was drafted into a top secret research program immediately after he graduated. He continued to attend the church that his parents introduced him to when he was a child, in spite of it conflicting with his more logical beliefs, based on years of study. When the barrier dropped on the city, he had managed to get time away from the program to go on several missionary trips with his fellow church members.
He returned from his latest mission trip a mere two days before the barrier dropped. He quickly saw the truth of the barriers origins, and while the city was still in chaos, he packed his essential belongings, and headed out to the cities edge, to live against the barrier. At first he rented a room in a house that was attached to one of the massive greenhouses that rimmed the city.
This arrangement lasted until he started his transformation. The people that owned the home, lived in the city for most of the month, relying on the farms automated systems to maintain the crops, and were unaware of the effects the barrier elicited in humans. They arrived at the farmhouse on their monthly inspection and repair visit, and promptly kicked out the semi transformed Edwin.
He continued to use the cities wireless networks to turn in work on his section of the project he was currently involved with, but he quickly became disenchanted with the idea of furthering the cause of war, when the presence of God was so close that it could literally be touched. He quit his job, even though he had been turning in some of the most brilliant work of his career, aided by his rapidly mutating brain, and began to turn his attention to the word of the lord.
He became enamored of the concept of the righteous warrior, and as his body continued its painful transfiguration, he came to the conclusion that he had found his calling. He would become a crusader for the cause of Christ, and convert the doomed citizens of Chorazin before the dome crashed down on them, and pushed them all into Hell.
The pain in his limbs and extremities finally stopped, and he decided that it was time to begin his mission. He gathered his things once again, and began his trek into the city proper.
